CONSTRUCTION WORK CONTINUES!
Work will continue on the interior of the church and will probably take several more weeks. Since this will affect only the interior of the Church, weekday masses will be held in the courtyard. Weekend masses will not be affected. However, any functions held in the church in the evenings will be affected; other arrangements will be made to accommodate those affected. LENTEN SERVICES
The Triduum Services are: Holy Thursday, 6:00 p.m., Good Friday, 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.; Easter Vigil, 7:00 p.m. and Easter Sunday masses are at 7:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.Weekly there will be Stations of the Cross at 11:15 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.Coming soon: Our Lenten Retreat which begins on March 13th and ends March 17th and during this Retreat, our Penance Service will be held

Here is something I took from the recent newsletter of the I.H.S (the Institute for Human Services-Ke Ala Kupono-the Worthy Path) Not having a family and living here at the church I found this surprising. For those of you who may not know of I.H.S., they are an Emergency Shelter and offer other services to the

LENTEN TAIZE PRAYER SERVICE
Sts. Peter & Paul will have a Lenten Taize prayer service on March 21, 2010 at 7 PM, immediately following the 6PM Mass. Jesus Remember Me is an hour-long program in preparation for Easter with Scripture and song. In the style of Taize, we gather in a darkened church lit with many candles to sing beautiful meditative songs, listen to a few Scripture passages, and sing more beautiful songs. All

SEVEN-DAY CANDLES
On the sides of the statues of the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph, there are seven-day candles which may be purchased with our Sacristan or Altar Server. Effective immediately, the cost of the seven-day candle is $4.00; the cost of the wax candles has increased and Sts. Peter & Paul Church is unable to absorb the cost..therefore the increase in price.
